- The reason being that it completely buck the trend of most online shooters, which pits players against each other in fragfests involving very little in the way of teamwork.
- In Left 4 Dead, in order to survive players are forced to work together; the ability - and urge - to share equipment, ammo and health packs - is a key factor here. Lone wolves need not apply.
